Welcome to Ireland.

Weather Warnings: Wind :- Southerly gales will affect all parts of Ireland today (Thursday) with gusts of 100 to 130 km/hr, highest in exposed parts of the south and west. Valid to 1800/30-11-2006.

Very wobbly flight. We tried to land twice at Shannon but the crosswinds were so strong that the pilot aborted both attempts, with much waggling of wings and lurching back and forth. I turned to my sister and said "I predict much public vomiting." I was right.

Still... it's exciting to finally be here.
