Wings are popping up in interesting ways these past few weeks...

"...at last we saw some people huddled up against
the rain that was descending like railroad spikes and hammers
they were headed for the border—walking and then running
then they were gone into the fog but Anne said underneath their jackets she saw wings..."
[listen]

Josh Ritter provided some totally transcendent moments at the Bowery Ballroom. If you can, go and see him.

I've been revisiting my favorite angels at Green-Wood.

Has anyone else spotted wings?

I had the opportunity to impersonate a working photographer last night. Oh happy, happy days. My "assignment" (har har) was to go to the NY Times Librarian Awards to photograph our library's award winners. I was nervous, and there were a few hiccups, but what they needed was just a picture or two for Staff News, and I got 'em.

I've been spending the past few weekends in Green-Wood Cemetery, waiting for the sunset and playing with my new flash. I've had some good results.

Has anyone seen any Santas? I'm looking for gangs of Santas, preferably on the subway. Please buzz me if you know where they hang out....

Update: The 11th annual gathering of naughty Santas was last weekend, and I missed it. Sadness!
