My last class at ICP was Tuesday night. Despite all my anxieties early on in the semester I am going to miss it.
Some of the stuff I learned was technical - how to safely wander around a darkroom in absolute darkness, how to colour correct, and maybe how to meter a bit better (jury's still out on that one....).
Our teacher emphasized again and again that we are always making decisions when we shoot, even if we are not yet aware of them. He told us that we should always be asking, as we edit our work, what were those decisions and why we made them. That way we'll know better where we want to go. As I left the building he told me "Keep going. Keep shooting." Wow.
And now a favour; my own Friday Five. Pick five words to describe me and leave 'em in the comments field. Merci beacoup in advance!
