Hooray for the Homer Township Public Library District. They asked their citizens how they could make the library better, and the city responded: stay open more hours. And so they are doing it. How's this for public service? Monday-Thursday 8:30am to 9pm, Friday 8:30am to 5pm, Saturday 8:30am to 4pm and Sunday 4pm to 8pm. In marketing their early morning hours they said "Are you a morning person? Kids off to school and ready to roll? Need to make a quick copy or return items before heading to work? To provide increased patron service, the Homer Township Public Library now opens its doors at 8:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. Feel free to stop in with your cup of coffee in hand. The Library does allow snacks and drinks although they are not permitted at or near computer terminals and workstations."
